Stunning nose of brambly dark red fruit and black tea. Bacon fat and scorched clay on the entry followed by a broad beam of melted tannins and fig, iron, Provençal spices and lavender. 45+ second finish. Outstanding, another great bottle though now at its apogee (but likely to stick around and turn to burgundy over time). — 5 years ago
Wow, jam, dark stone fruit. Deep purple rim. A pleasure to drink as I grill — 5 years ago
Perfectly balanced wine. — 6 years ago
Incredibly fresh and balanced! Light, abundant berry and stone fruit notes of raspberry and peach! Our first of 3 wedding wines from a gift! Definitely one of the best sparkling wines I’ve ever had! — 6 years ago

Excellent on a stand alone basis or in mimosas!! Slight brioche, caramel, butter, and a hint of apricot. Just as good at bottle opening as it was a couple hours later! — 2 years ago
Color - dark purple garnet. A bold expressive funky perfume fruit nose so classic of Cayuse with mineral-meat, smokey and mint notes lingering with a vanilla toast scent. Juicy and elegant; rich with dark plum-cherry flavors intertwined with a smokey soil bacon bitters taste—the mineral-iron characteristics follow with a tobacco long finish. Looking forward to seeing how the flavors change with different foods and as the wine opens up. Bionic Frog is favorite and definitely a wine to try and store in your cellar. Fantastic cab, perfect by itself or wine dinner. Great compliment with the filet mignon I had tonight. Dry, yet a touch sweet, deep bold flavors. — 5 years ago
Big and dry. Great nose on this one — 7 years ago
WNH event number two. Rhône varietal wines with TX BBQ...a match made in Heaven!
Enjoyed this towards the end of lunch as it seemed to be on he heavier side. If I tasted blind, I may have gone with WA state Syrah...there was a richness to this that translates to bacon, ripe black and blue fruit. Less red fruit and spice but more fig, bayleaf and blackberry. Not herbal or funky (olive like) but the concentration and power here is impressive. Youthful. Will be dreamy stuff in the next few years! Well done @Bill Bender . — 7 years ago
This inexpensive blend is exceptional. The nose lends sumptuous red fruits like montmorenci cherry and freshly-picked ripe strawberry. The palate offers semi-sweet red fruits and blackberry, along with a mild earthy iron and wood undertone. Some spice coupled with lushness that lingers on the back of the palate at the finish. Very memorable. — 9 years ago

Bonnie’s favorite Pinot Noir, with good reason. It’s just beautiful. — 5 years ago
Bought this in 2014 from Lsat Bottle. Should have bought more, it was a steal at the time and it has gotten even better in the last 5 years. Not too acidic, good amount of yeast, and overall excellent sparkling wine. 69% Pinot Noir, 31% Chardonnay — 6 years ago
Bright, clear ruby with a great nose of cassis, blackberry, violet and mint.
Beautiful length and finesse. Great impression of crushed fruit with hints of forest floor and cedar. The finish leaves a lasting impression of sweet red fruit and supported by a soft blanket of tannins. This is the proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove - just lovely — 7 years ago

Conrad Green

Meaty deep red fruit. Dark cherry, some soft herbal notes, bloody iron stuff. Still quite primal. Alcohol is noticeable but still quite balanced- particularly with time in decanter. A powerful and intense behemoth. I think this’ll take a long time and may never be pretty but great substance. — 2 years ago
