Montefalco Sagrantino

A Sagrantino monster - holding olives in one hand and a bottle of soy sauce in the other - while it stomps through fields of dark fruit. Eccentric monstah — 11 years ago

Albero Organic Spanish Tempranillo

Zippy alcohol and acidity with a light body. Smells like pure cherries but taste is all spice and tobacco. Took awhile to open up but very much enjoyed. — 11 years ago

Such a classic

Fields Family Wines

Old Vines Zinfandel 2011

Great, fruit-forward Zin
From Fields: A classic example of what Lodi does best! A gorgeous reserved style of Zinfandel, this wine offers bright and concentrated blackberry and black cherry aromas, with smoky, spicy notes and a velvet smooth texture. There is a bit of Carignane and Petite Sirah for added color, spice and finesse.

Fields Family does make some nice wines. One of the better Lodi Ca. wineries.

I didn't know they did a Mt. Veeder Cab. I think a visit to the winery this weekend will be a nice thing to do. They are only about 20 miles from us.
