Mark N blew me away with this blind, guessed France. Fine structure, pencil lead and Syrah-like gameyness. Just couldn't place it as a Sangio for anything, though the sour cherry and leathery chocolate had faded. Prompted long, philosophical discussion (aided by very old single malt) ion the ageing potential of anything but the biggest Brunellos. — 12 years ago
