If you like Moët or Vueve, you will love this. Great value bc it's like $15 less than commercial brands. — 9 years ago
Love the 45% Cab Franc, which lightens and brightens in a really good way. Nice, particularly for first vintage. — 9 years ago
Full of verve, fresh stone fruits, minerality, good acidity and an insatiable desire to keep drinking it! — 10 years ago

I'd say there are better ways of discovering a great wine than choosing the one used in some YouTube video comparing different brands of wine glasses. But then I would have missed out on this Pomerol, considered by some one of the best values of the region. 100% Merlot with a short stint in new oak, this showed wonderfully rich blueberries, cocoa-dusted roasted red plums, and vanilla-scented mocha balanced by a refreshing herbal side of toasted fennel and fresh mint. Plenty of sweet and luscious tannins, alcohol, and a weighty body were complemented by refreshing acidity. FYI this took an hour to open up and show itself, but when it did, it did. I'd love to see this in 10 more years. 2000 vintage. — 10 years ago

This is 7000 case production brand from the 550 acres they own. The other brands using this fruit is lincourt and two sisters — 11 years ago
Rich, incredibly black cherry and current, light body, very lively — 12 years ago
Among "my best" Prosecco brands. Dryer than actual standards, try it with meals. — 12 years ago
This is just a nice wine. I liked it and would like to try some other brands with this varietal. — 9 years ago
One of San Antonio Winery's brands, the Windstream Sarmento Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2013 shows considerable marine influence, given its proximity to the Pacific Ocean. Glass-filling aromatics of rose petal and cinnamon bark. and dry leaves that crunch underfoot. The attack is bright and lean, with high-toned tart and seedy red forest berries, cranberries and astringent rose hips that terminate in a peppery finish. I was surprised to find the alcohol at 15.1%, it's deceptive. Sample — 9 years ago
Very crisp. Balanced fruit profiles, leaves am insatiable thirst in your mouth. Beautiful wine. — 10 years ago
The beauty of sparkling and champagne is that they can be enjoyed at any time. This was my first departure from the grocery store brands and it did not disappoint. Made in the traditional method from the Champagne region, this is a great brut that's just as good as many Champagne region labels, but without the Champagne region price.
Strong pear aroma and taste with a fruity finish. Perfect for a mimosa brunch, but I prefer this one alone in a flute simply celebrating another day. — 10 years ago
This is how California Merlot should taste. Old school style, it's fresh and lean and not flabby. Such an excellent example of how even well known brands can do it right — 10 years ago

One of my favorite grapes, Mencia is sometimes dull and boring. This one is bright and nuanced and complex with a great finish of chocolate, leather and berries. It was also a great deal at my local wine shop — Brands Wine — 11 years ago
Spicy. But not to heavy. Great with meat dishes or Mexican. — 11 years ago
Friday night at Lucca wood fired pizza in Victor - nothing like supporting the local Constellation Brands... — 12 years ago
One of the great value Napa brands (from an otherwise expensive valley) that sadly had to close their doors.
With fruit sources like To Kalon, Dr. Crane, Herb Lamb and Morisoli I was amazed how they could turn out wines like this for just $45+
I think there is work behind the scene to bring back the label but until then I guess we'll just have to enjoy these older vintages which can still be found at auctions for reasonable prices.

Stags Leap is one of my favorite "go to" brands. A crisp Chardonnat always... tonight with Debbie Joe and Maura it was between the Newton and the Kendall-Jackson — 10 years ago
Pretty delicious for a rose. I do like french roses are heavy on the mineral profile as well as acidic, unlike Californian roses which I don't normally like because of over floral and excessively sweet elementz. This wine surprises the palete with a crisp and small bite with a seemingly slight bubbly effect, not bubbly like champagne, but a natural and subtle tingly effect. This was purchased at $17.99 which is double the amount of what I have spent on other french roses, but we'll worth the price. By the way, good wines do not have to cost an arm an a leg like the overpriced Napa Valley brands. European wines are heavily undervalued in California.
A delicious Sancerre Rose good for a summer day/night. Can be paired with spring/summer/fall salads, light airy desserts, fruit, lighter seafood dishes such as grilled white fish or ceviche. Delicious with a cheese and charcuterie board. — 10 years ago
It's a light lager up there with some of US leading brands but has more flavor than most lighter lagers. It goes down smooth and easy and the taste never gets old. Tell a friend, let's get this beer across the U.S.! — 10 years ago
One of our favorite Sauvignon Blanc brands. Made in Temecula, CA by South Coast Winery, it has a luscious mouth feel, dry enough to fit Sauvignon Blanc style, but the Musque Clone addition makes the fruit come through. — 11 years ago

2012 TOR Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker-@Jeff Ames
Owner- @Tor Kenward
Pop N Pour
Robert Parker scored it 96 points in 2014;
seems right after a few years of cellar aging.
Classic Oakville To Kalon dark fruits, deep concentration, lots of glycerin, almost black in the glass, classic loamy dirt aromatics, first taste is total satisfaction! Keeps getting better with each sip, opening up nicely with time & more oxidation. Kudos to Tor Kenward & Jeff Ames on this effort! I look forward to the 2015
version of this wine upon release in the future.
On this day 6/16/2017 Fred & Carol Schrader sold Schrader Cellars to Constellation Brands; it's only fitting to enjoy a To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon!
Cheers! 🍇🍷👍
