Dried red berries and dried Herbs de Provence, with a slightly sharp nose reminiscent of the hot Tuscan sun. On the palate a bouquet of soft red berries and a and a fun potpourri of spices; with a smooth tannic finish. Fun Tuscan blend, remember to decant! — 10 years ago
Great. With duck liver mousse and Orange Cranberry Mousse with Crackers. — 10 years ago
Any wine that can shine from a plastic cup deserves extra kudos. Mistook for a Northern nebbiolo with its structure, detail, & balance, but the fruit is pure southern, pomegranate & black currants. Eye opener (esp for 30$ list). Want to re taste in proper stemware. I think 80% nero di trioa 20% montulpiciano — 10 years ago
Lightly carbonated and very fruity! My wife's favorite alternative to champagne. Buy more than one bottle- disappears very quickly! 😀 — 11 years ago
Probably a year or two behind its prime but still plenty to like about this Piedmontese blend. Good, forward fruit of the Pinot strikes an excellent partnership with the balance and depth of the Barbera. Let's be honest, Braida makes great wines; and this is no exception. — 11 years ago
Really interesting Sangiovese and petit Verdot blend. The petit Verdot allows this wine to be ageable. It seems close to its prime. Nice bottle nose. Garnet color from the petit Verdot. The petit Verdot also adds an astringent finish which cleans the palate. — 11 years ago

Really impressive the second day. Would try again and certainly decant the next bottle. With air loses baby fat and moves from boring cherry to much more interesting spice notes like cocoa and maybe nuts. Good acidity — 10 years ago
Flower garden nose. Plummy with leathery finish. Good dry Rosso with a great late finish of peppery Italian dirt. — 10 years ago
Probably the best under $15 Tuscan I've had. Medium body, fresh cherry, a little herb. Some complexity and pleasant tannins to the finish which is rare for a Sangiovese at this price point. — 10 years ago
Mycket gott... fylligt o smak av choklad.. — 10 years ago

One of my best wines ever. 2009 vintage. April 2015 — 11 years ago
I've had 6 bottles of this. 1 was absurdly reduced, but was superb on the 3rd day. The other 5 were ethereal. Lasted for days, or sometimes, didn't last for an hour. Stunning example of what Sangiovese can be when its not over-cropped, over-ripe and over-oaked. I don't like most Sangiovese, it's no secret. Something about the creamy yogurt thing I get, and the opinion I have that Tuscany is the Napa of Italy. But this wine is real, raw, alive, unique. No oak. No additives. No bullshit. I love it. Umbrian Sangiovese fermented and aged in concrete. It changes and breathes. There's not much else like it. — 12 years ago
