The wine is a dark ruby color, but beginning to show some brick notes on the edge, a sign of its age. On the nose, big cherry aromas are met with violet and a smokey oak spice. The taste gives dark notes of cherry with earthy minerals and a nice grip, but the tannins are not too toothy. In fact, it’s fairly smooth. The finish is medium long.

Right up there with the Equipo Navazos La Bota wines! Salted caramel, chamomile, almonds and yeast. This manzanilla pasada is apart of a 3 barrel bottling located in the sacrista of the bodega. Ignacio Hidalgo first bottled this 2011 but has no idea the age of the wine itself. — 10 years ago
