Right up there with the Equipo Navazos La Bota wines! Salted caramel, chamomile, almonds and yeast. This manzanilla pasada is apart of a 3 barrel bottling located in the sacrista of the bodega. Ignacio Hidalgo first bottled this 2011 but has no idea the age of the wine itself. — 11 years ago

The wine is a dark ruby color, but beginning to show some brick notes on the edge, a sign of its age. On the nose, big cherry aromas are met with violet and a smokey oak spice. The taste gives dark notes of cherry with earthy minerals and a nice grip, but the tannins are not too toothy. In fact, it’s fairly smooth. The finish is medium long.
