First encountered this winery on wine blog fringewine where their Huxelrebe was featured.
Ripe pear, overripe lime, light coloured honey.
Splendid acidity, light sweetness, fresh grape and lime palate, steely finish with dried apple oxi and Concorde grape aftertaste combined with lovely salty end.
Perfect time to drink. Good mix of fruit and beginning of tertiary which is not petrol . 8% abv. Want a magnum of this.

2013 vintage - a delightful wine that I would hate to meet in a blind tasting - on first sniff & taste, it took me back to my first exposure to NZ Sav Blanc which back then had an exciting freshness after years of Oz Chardonnay. This wine is a blend of Phoenix, Madeleine Angevine and Huxelrebe (take that!). Interested that a review has mentioned Loire character, though from an Oz perspective, this is very New World but in the nicest possible way! — 9 years ago
