At Batard in NYC. Decanted. Nice aged ruby color. Sweet nose including ripe berries, mushroom, forest floor and some spice. Good mouth feel that lasts long enough to give you the terroir impact. Really like the finish. This was on the wine list at two restaurants in NYC this week and both somms said this was a recent direct release from the domaine. So good provenance and a good showing for a so so vintage. — 10 years ago

Acidez racha esmalte dentarioRecognizable as sauv blanc, but so different from my frequent New Zealand sauv blancs. No grapefruit or grassiness. No cat pee. Just classic sauv blanc fragrance and minerality. — 10 years ago

Yum! Not too sweet, delicious. — 13 years ago
2012 vintage. Pale lemon hue. Quite round on the nose and creamy oak, ripe lemon and short-cake - reminds me of Chablis but with less minerality. On the palate, powerful attack of concentrated ripe lemon fruits and hints of apricot. High acidity, medium body and medium plus concentration. Real bite on the finish. There's an elegance in the mid palate and a decent finish. Good now but drink until 2025. — 10 years ago
