This wine is a high school kid who's a consensus number 1 draft pick. So young, raw, and talented. I like my Gamay young but this needs at least two years. Deep, richly extracted crunchy Gamay fruit and freshly cracked stones in the nose. In the mouth it's an MMA fight between tangy, crunchy, incredibly deep fruit, mouth-watering acids, and minerals. Long long saliva inducing finish. Great right now for its raw materials, but I really shouldn't have opened this until 2018 at least.

Probably a little young. I wasn't blown away, but it's a pleasant, balanced fruit and barely noticeable tannins. Would imagine it'd be better cellared. HT Emirates lounge CPT for letting me taste it rather than buying a bottle at Makro! 😉 — 9 years ago
