Little smoke on the nose, settle red fruits, light acidity on the finish. — 7 years ago
If you are a fan of Merlot, Malbec, Petit Syrah, and Cab, imagine the perfect blend of them all. This is it. Vibrant dark fruit flavors that drinks easily alone or pairs well with red meats and barbecue. Not the least expensive blend, but clearly one of the better ones. — 7 years ago
Salon just the name alone stands for rare -collectible - authentic Champagne. This bottle of 1995 did not disappoint in fact I believe it's the greatest salon I have ever had. Are used to sell salon back in the day vintages 82 - 85 - 90 - this one is only made in select vintages & 1995 is superb. It's features it's patented laserbeam styling from Le Mesnil. The nose was focused on citrus / Lemon curd and you could smell the chalk & limestone that protected the freshness of this acid driven style for the last 20 years. there's no brioche there's no butter or Caramell in salon it's pure acid with a right hook of lemon curd and it is spectacular and unrelenting and i'm not lovable and less you enjoy the pleasure of the Payne. — 8 years ago
Medium color. Pepper spice. Dark cherry fruit. Light smooth body. Vanilla. Fruit strawberry cherry skin. Low tannins. Light finish. I would drink with pork or lamb. — 10 years ago
Practically perfect Napa red. I’d love a tad more dryness on the finish, but this is awesome. — 6 years ago

It's almost impossible to get a better #chardonnay at a better price #qpr #enate Chardonnay was and has been ahead of its time. It hasn't been fermented in oak and yet it has a creaminess and mouthfeel that makes you think it has. If there's one downside to this wine, it's that there are times and/or places when it tastes awesome and other times when it just seems ok to me. 2015 vintage is off the hook. — 9 years ago
Delicate. Still so much fruit. Really opens after an hour or two. @Theo Lieberman this was off the hook. — 10 years ago
Good flavors and well balanced. Enjoyed this wine, seems like it would go well be a steak or something spicy. — 12 years ago
Time for #MerlotThursday! and here is a nice surprise. A very good Merlot/ Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Brooklyn, NY.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, earth, chocolates, vanilla,, licorice, cedar, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This 9 year old is very enjoyable, soft and smooth. Good by itself or with food.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
Grapes are grown in long Island. Made by Robert Foley. Thank you D.J. for sharing.
13.1% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
