Homer pour. Cherry jam and raspberry preserves All. Over. The. Place. — 10 years ago
Great nose and bold first taste, but it's age causes it to fade fast and lose power. That being said, a Jose Bautista homer in the 10th for a 2-1 Jays victory over the Yanks makes up for it! Yeah, that was meant for you my friend and unfortunate Yankee fan, Mike Walker!! — 10 years ago
This is from a local winery in homer that is wonderful! Even add some champagne to it and it makes a great spritzer :) fun tastings at the winery as well. — 13 years ago
I'll save you some reading; I am a homer when it comes to this winery, so if you want to disregard my review I understand. But this winery is doing it right. And they've planted ungrafted Margaux rootstock. I won't lecture, but that's kind of a unique deal. The wine itself is ridiculously lively for a wine nine years old. Sumptuous dark fruits, black earth and hints of tobacco, mint and decaying violets (in a good way) greet the nose. The palette is both refined and fresh. Silky, silty tannins blend with stewed and tart fruit, along with a solid backbone of earth. It's going to be a challenge, but you really should try and get a bottle from this winery. — 9 years ago
Had this on Juliette and I's "first date"...so the experience may be clouding my judgement, but we both remember this being really good. Pretty bold and a little spicy. I'm definitely a Michael David homer, so.... — 10 years ago
Must have the Homer 2010 — 11 years ago
We knocked this back in Homer, Ak. Great wine, great skate sesh with the Ol' lady after. Then we watched a drunk local play chicken with a street sign on his bike. He lost in a decision in the 10th round. When we finally got him conscious again he was asked, " have you been drinking" "Yeah but there's nothing wrong with that!" True that brother! — 12 years ago
Had this in Buffalo, NY at this stand out Italian place. The plate two back on the right wasn't even my food but you can see that remnants of a dope ass summer corn risotto. Really incredible. The wine was fantastic as well. But I'm a huge Barbera homer, so maybe this is skewed. Maybe a realistic 9 but for me personally it was great. — 10 years ago

Okay I'm a bit of a homer on all these Kistler wines. I admit it. This 2012 cuvée Kathleen was my favorite when I tasted it out of barrel year before it was bottled. I have not tasted enough cuvée Cathleen until tonight. There are oily aromas. There are also aromas of stone fruit and some citrus. Very complex integration of oak is evident . This is a wine of profound concentration. This is a real keeper — 11 years ago
