Dark cherry, big flowers and leather on the nose. little peppery first then long dark fruit finish. Lots going on here. Like it.

Such fun to drink. Had with a ribeye and was a great compliment. Great nose of light cherry. Well balanced mouth of dark fruit, currant and ends with mocha covered tannins. Was really fun evolution as we drank right after opening and for next 4 hours. — 8 years ago

Plums, boysenberries, blueberries and baking spices on the nose. Tannins are nicely resolved and will continue to evolve nicely for another 5-8 years. Fruits are ripe; blackberries, black cherries, boysenberries, blueberries, cherries, stewed strawberries. Lots of melted milk chocolate, light baking spices; light vanilla & cinnamon w/ a whiff of clove, spice-box, soft leather, grilled meats, burnt ambers, saw dust, brown volcanic soil with crushed rocks, dry red flowers, violets, sound acidity w/ a nice elegant but a leaner style finish. Not convinced this wine will get much better going forward but it will certainly evolve and hold a nice drinking stage for another 5 years or so. Decanter for 1 & 1/2 hours. Interesting this wine puts on weight as it sits in the decanter. 💪 — 8 years ago

Cherry and earth on the nose. Light texture and mouthfeel is interupted by explosive acidity. Took about 30 min to mellow out. Drank great after being open 2 hours — 7 years ago
Was lucky enough to taste this again. From a hillside vineyard on an eastern slope on the second ridge from the Pacific Ocean. Deep Ruby with forward fruit aromas of red fruits and peppery spices. The palate shows sour raspberry and wild cherry with flavorful spices. Vivid acidity with soft tannins were noted. The finish was lingering with oaky notes, minerality and earthy tones. Very nice! This riesling starts with aromas of white truffle and honeysuckle. On the pallet it is overflowing with green apple, Asian pear, water and pineapple flavors. At the end there enough minerality to make a great long finish — 8 years ago
