Lovely straw green/gold color with lots of glycerin. At eight years this wine is full of CHARDONNY flavors without oak tones. With salmon this was a good match. Stony Hill produces pure top quality CHARDONNY . Kudos to Mike Chelini and his wine making skills. — 8 years ago
2013 Lily Hill Estate opens with great berry taste and very smooth. — 9 years ago
A rich deep Ruby red with aromas of dark berry fruit, and rustic spices. The 100% Pinot Noir wine was aged on French oak for 14 months, (35% new) before bottling in December 2015. On the palate, the wine was medium+ in weight and shows sweet cherry, plum and blackberry. The Pinot had velvet tannins encircled by lively acidity and a touch of pepper and gentle oak giving the wine tremendous depth and balance. An elegant wine that with great length on the finish. Extraordinary! Only 828 cases were produced! — 9 years ago
Dark burgundy color. Tart berry and damp earth nose. Dominated by cherries - tart, dried, black. Drying mouthfeel on the finish. Old/new world. — 10 years ago
Elegant with dark berry. Round and slight oaky. Good tannins. — 10 years ago
First time I see anything from them in Boston.A decent Saison, with raisins and faint cloves overtones on top of hay and grass. I hope the rest of their stuff is significantly better — 10 years ago
Enjoyed this well-aged bottle of Pinot Noir that was part of the March 2015 Mission Hill Wine Club shipment with a great top sirloin steak. — 10 years ago
Nice, berry-flavored — 7 years ago
This will take a bunch of you by surprise but this is my absolute first bottle of 2012 edge Hill Bacigaluppi that did not literally blow my mind! I consider this one of the top five Chardonnays that I have ever had from Napa and I’ve had a lot of Chardonnays from Napa! It was not Corked but definitely fell 100% flat tonight. No depth, no structure simply fruit. I had friends at the house and was trying to impress them But literally threw this bottle down the drain and open to something else. Oh well, shit happens as they say! @David L @Shawn R @Joe Lucca @Mike R @Ron R @Howard Greenfield @Shay A — 8 years ago

#clarevalley #riesling Great producer. I believed this wine to be very good, but yet not outstanding because of its over the top burnt matchstick aromas and flavors. They sort of mask and ruin everything for me. It has many good qualities like pronounced aromas of yellow apples and quince and limes. With a long finish and pronounced flavor intensity but with the phosphorus quality becoming annoying. — 8 years ago
It's hard to know what perfection in cab Franc taste like… But this is a bold expression of carefully grown, micro-lot produced CF. in Virginia, there is a lot of latitude and this one is volume and equalizer on 10s! What is amazing about this is how it opened up and improved with air… Like a big block before and after nitrous! — 9 years ago
Beautiful berry flavors layered over hints of mint with lovely tannic structure. 2005 was a great year for winemaker Dave Polite! And I'm not usually a Pinot lover for anything but great French burgundies! — 10 years ago
Great potential. We drank this in June 2015, likely at the early end of its aging. It has a nice nose and lingering essence with a lot of oak flavor at first swill followed by a rich, lingering berry essence. — 10 years ago
2012 vintage, 14.5% alcohol. Dense fruity Shiraz, berry and chocolate notes. — 10 years ago
Love the sweetness of this wine. Not over the top. Just the right amount for a sweet red. Delectable and mouthwatering. — 11 years ago
Amazing how unique these three wines are. There are obviously, in the grand scheme of things, more similarities than differences between them, but the differences are tangible. For 2015, the VH has dark explosive nose, somewhat gritty tannins, and ripe dark berry core. — 8 years ago
Very smooth light Cab, slight velvety overtones with a berry finish — 8 years ago
I love this wine. Dark berry light tannin — 8 years ago
Velvety smooth. Plum, dark berries, and cream. Long finish. One of my top 3 Cabs ever. — 10 years ago
"I love me some porter creek Pinot". Loam, moss, cherry and pipe tobacco in the nose. Dark sweet Berry and plum with long clean finish.-
And great people and a great winery! — 10 years ago
Very energetic wine. Blind, I would be in The Rhone valley. Bright berry fruit with great floral. Long, refreshing finish. — 10 years ago
First glass was a taste so the rest could sit open for a bit. Impressed with the berry flavors and a little spice. Didn't taste earthy at all. It had a silky smooth taste which matched the aroma and color. Hint of vanilla smell. Really enjoyed this wine and would buy again! — 11 years ago
Great taste of summer, but great wine any meal. Try with a winning hand in poker or take to share on the top of a hill with a great view. Balanced , smooth — 13 years ago
