Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Ruby color, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fruits, floral and complex spice, aged for 16 months on French oak, 58% new, vineyard planted in 1991. On the palate concentrated flavors of strawberry and black cherry with orange citrus, herbs, vanilla and oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with fruit, vanilla, floral, spice and oaky tones. Very Nice! Will age! — 8 months ago

Happy Father’s Day! PnP’d. Very similar to previous notes. Very enjoyable but restrained on the nose and palate. Lovely texture and depth. Amarone characteristics. — 3 years ago

"Les Voisins" Yorkville Highlands Syrah 2015

Virtuoso Syrah. Love the bright red berry fruits on the front end and the balance throughout. Nice silky tannins and a modest finish. A 30 minute decant made a world of difference. — 5 years ago

Highland Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay 2022

Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits and nutty floral notes, 50% fruit from certified organic Double L estate, with the balance from McIntyre and Tondré vineyards. On the palate flavors of apple, pear, lemon citrus zest and melon, complex with mineral tones and soft and a bit creamy adding sweet spice. The wine was fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, well balanced on a long finish ending with fruit and mineral character. Nice! — 7 months ago

Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

2022 vintage. Will likely try to pick this up for the resto wine list again. Decanted but was pretty PNP from the get go along with surprising, back-end structure. Excellent effort and quintessential California pinot. 02.20.25. — 8 months ago

The Coppermine Road McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Big, juicy, the Cabernet character is there, some minty notes along with the wood. Good length just lacks structure and finesse for a classic Cabernet. — 5 years ago

Brut Cuvée Santa Lucia Highlands Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay 2014

A top notch vintage California sparkler. Fine bubbles, soft lees, nice minerality, with hints of citrus - the drinking experience builds to a sizzling acid finish. Take the two best grapes out of SLH and make a cremant style sparkler. Brilliant. — 6 years ago
