Solid Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State's Walla Walla Valley. Good fruit and earthiness. Clean and good production qualities. Still, something about it that makes it just a little too smooth. 2013 vintage, aided with 20 minutes and some rigorous aeration in the glass. — 7 years ago

During our stay at the hospital for the birth of our son some dear friends of ours brought my wife & I a care package. In it were all manner of goodies and treats, as well as a bottle of champagne and this scotch. They know us all too well 🤫🤷🏻♂️

The 2021 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard is a wild wine. Strong mineral and savory notes are front and center, while the fruit is more pushed into the background. This potent, driving Pinot will need a year or two to soften, but I expect it will always be rather forbidding. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)
