A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. This wine was a bit mysterious in the glass. I ordered it at dinner by the glass and didn't know much about it until I got home and looked it up. I would have sworn this was a Syrah based blend with some dark black fruit with coffee and black olive notes and had a fairly polished tannin structure to go along with a medium full bodied wine that I found very enjoyable. Dark purple. Nice nose of oaks, cedar, abundance of black fruits like black cherry, sweet hickory notes like California upscale Cabernet, raisins, and slightly herbal. Taste is jammy and chewy, with sweet note like vanilla, milk chocolate, black currants and raisins. Hidden within in it is firm tannins and solid acidity, some spice, grassy herbal notes, and some cherries. Aftertaste of vibrant acidity like balsamic vinegar and residual sweetness, cherry, a tiny bit of zest and oaky, medium long. This is a full body wine that makes you keep going and going until you finish the last drop of it. — 8 years ago

The Hidden Cave Devils Lair Shiraz rocks! A drink now wine, I bought for dinner to have with slow cooked lamb.
