Excellent non-traditional gruner, smooth & bright, very pleasing, lighter than normal body — 7 years ago
Remarkable 2014 Pinot Noir from Big Basin Vineyards. They've made a stream of my favorite wines of the year and this may top it all - so far. Spicy and funky and will get better with age. Winery of the year!? — 7 years ago
Rose of Pinot with just enough heft to tamp down the sweet and add character. Exactly my kind of rose. — 8 years ago
Lighter in style, very nice fruit and finish. Have really enjoyed wines from Corralitos/Santa Cruz mtns (like this one). — 8 years ago
Gruner from the Santa Cruz mountains - great acidity, excellent with calamari. Overall impressed. — 8 years ago
This month's QPR winner. Solid SCM Syrah, fruit and spice, very enjoyable, very affordable. A hint of Northern Rhone from Corralitos, or should I say Alfaro? — 9 years ago

VVVVVVVAAAAAALLLLLLLUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEE it's hard to drink this stuff because it's actually too good. It's like it's so cheap it's a goddamn shame because I will not hold on to any of these. I WILL BE DRINKING THEM AND BARELY BELIEVING I PAID LESS THAN $20 a bottle 😮 — 7 years ago
Gran Rioja del gran Palacios. Gran acompañante de unas albóndigas con níscalos — 8 years ago
Medium body , plenty of fruit with earth, lush texture...small production from Santa Cruz mtns. Will buy again for sure- — 8 years ago

Gorgeous Grüner Veltliner... amazing balance of fruit and acidity. — 6 years ago
Perfect with salmon! — 7 years ago
Nice and fruit full young — 7 years ago
Grüner Veltliner is hip, rightfully so. Good for Alfaro that they planted before it became a trend. Lively, fresh, acidic- this goes well with seafood, or just some fresh apples for dessert. — 8 years ago
Focused and precise. This vineyard makes amazing chard. Apparently one of the latest ripening chard vineyards in the area. Lemon rind, freshly cut green apple, green papaya, ACID, white flowers, dash of sea salt. Great trade for freshly foraged Chantrelle Californicus. A little flat on day 2. Lowered rating a notch. Thanks Richard Alfaro! — 8 years ago
Pretty beautiful, especially after being open an hour. Great foil for roast turkey! — 9 years ago
