Awesome. Leather, mineral. — a year ago
Lovely balanced flavors. — 4 years ago
Delicate pale straw color. Tart Gala apple and pear. Crisp with balanced acidity true to the vineyard and deftness of the winemaker. This wine can keep going for years to come. Drank over three nights and final glass was no less, perhaps more enjoyable than the first. — 5 years ago
Bright, smooth, very pleasant to drink. Will be even better in at least a few years. — 9 years ago
Notes haven't changed, but I've come to realize I would've bought more. Saving the last couple bottles because this is starting to really sing. — 9 years ago

Red fruit, mushroom, umami, soy, earthy, black cherry, strawberry and raspberry. On the palate, black fruit, spice, pepper, Briney, smokey, and savory. Long finish. — 10 years ago
Big, juicy, a lot of ripe fruit. Tannins are soft and buttery sweet. — 11 years ago
Awesome nose and mouthfeel but they overdid the alcohol. Great wine. — 12 years ago
Grapefruit, lemon, tart apple, hay and ripe peach. Vibrant acidity and great minerality. — 6 years ago
Good tannin, predominant notes of cassis — 7 years ago
Another scorching day, another record temperature falls. Still too hot to go red and I wanted to rock a nice Cabernet. Well...not yet. A little Sauvignon Blanc to battle the heat. And, a warm up to next weeks JP party. On the nose; jasmine, green apple, lemon, lime, pineapple, honey notes, bees wax, soft volcanic minerals and yellow florals. The fruits on the palate are not as pronounced as they are on the nose. Peach, green apple, lemon, lime, pineapple, honey notes, bees wax, soft volcanic minerals, oily body, round acidity & finish with yellow florals. @ no chips & salsa 💃 @Paul Treadway Huntington Beacher — 9 years ago

Boars’ View “The Coast” Pinot Noir 2018
Fort Ross–Seaview AVA, Sonoma Coast, California, USA 🇺🇸
Overview
Handcrafted by Thomas Rivers Brown at the dramatic West Sonoma Coast site, this Pinot Noir highlights maritime fog, Goldridge loam soils, and heritage clones. The 2018 “Coast” includes 100% heritage clones—Calera, Mt. Eden, and Swan—meticulously fermented and aged to express both elegance and power.
Aromas & Flavors
Plush and aromatic: expect cranberry compote, lavender, sandalwood, and hints of violet. On the palate, it delivers black cherry, plum paste, nutmeg, quince, forest floor, and licorice—all layered over a finely tuned mineral edge.
Mouthfeel
Full-bodied yet refined. Silky tannins and well-integrated acidity support rich fruit without heaviness. A harmonious finish unfolds with persistence and grace.
Winemaking Notes
Destemmed fruit underwent fermentation and then aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 50% new, from François Frères, Remond, and Gauthier cooperages. The result is focused power with nuanced oak influence.
Food Pairing
Perfect with grilled duck, game birds, roasted pork, or truffle-scented risotto. Its depth and savory complexity also pair beautifully with hearty stews or mushroom-forward dishes.
Verdict
Boars’ View “The Coast” PINOT NOIR 2018 is a masterclass in West Coast Pinot—intensely flavorful, texturally rich, and meticulously crafted. A cellar-worthy wine with both grace and longevity. A rare Napa-level Pinot Noir priced in the $145–160 range. Cheers! — 9 months ago

2015. Good, but can’t compare with the 2014 we had at Sonoma Mission Inn in Sept 2019. Wouldn’t buy again for $50. — 7 years ago
