Reserve Brut Chardonnay Blend 2011

I have been looking forward to trying this for a while and it did not disappoint.

Took a while to open up but then exploded with biscuity citrusy goodness.

Out at the winery we gave it a taste. Very nice. England is making some great sparkling wines. Picked up a magnum of their 2004. — 9 years ago

One of the best of our sparklers. The Britagne name they tried to make official a la Cava but it never took off... wonder why...

@Adam Lechmere well I had the 2007 Blanc de Blancs from Nyetimber which was quite impressive also 😉

Very dark, but smooth and bubbly and not as heavy as it appears. Tasty and easy to drink like a lager with notes of chocolate. — 9 years ago

Camel Valley

Brut Champagne Blend 2013

Good, tart, pear and citrus, moderate leesiness. A very solid Cornish champers. Might seem severe next to a Veuve a liquor and a bit simple compared to a Fidele. — 8 years ago

ESB Champion Ale

ESB. Arômes floraux et de noisette. En bouche, un malt noisette et accompagne d'une légère amertume et d'un houblon floral. Les tout balance à merveille. Tout est dans la finesse dans cette bière. Une ESB incontournable. — 9 years ago

Yes there do seem to be bubbles in it. I got fresh citrus, quince (easily confused with soap) and hints of brioche on the finish.

It is of course the perfect terroir for cooler climate wines... Hence the lemongrass notes
