Love this wine!! Apparently he's like the Henri Jayer of his time but now his stuff has not been so great recently but this 1978 absolutely amazing! — 8 years ago
Celebrating end of 2015 harvest with our crush partners and dear friends at Adelsheim Vineyards. I pulled an '89 Meo so we could all drink Jean-Nicolas' first vintage which he crafted side by side Henri Jayer. The wine - a Village wine - just sang - blew us all away - including the winemaker — 9 years ago

Meo Camuzet is indeed amazing winery in France who related with legendary Henri Jayer. It is his basic wine but still guves great quality. — 10 years ago

Jesus that was tasty. Layers of complexity, very floral, with balanced earthiness and smooth texture, though the toughness of the vintage does show. #jayer — 8 years ago
Oenomaniacs don't have pearly gates, we have Domaine de la Romanee Conti La Tache 1990. Outrageously sexy, with a celestial perfume of asian spices and underbrush and dried cherry. Eternal finish that tattoos itself on your tongue and palate. Medium to full-bodied, with startling freshness and grip for a quarter-centurion. La Tache 1990 will enthrall for another 30 to 50 years.

Silky, Jayer-esque mouthfeel. The Fourrier style, as delicious as it is, is more prominent than Gevrey-Chambertin. — 9 years ago
Soft as satin, but very persistent. This is a négociant cuvée of the Vosne-Romanée based domaine (Henri Jayer, one of Burgundy's greatest winemakers, used to be the winemaker here until the late 1980's). The parcel in Fixin is just at the foot of the 'côte', next to the 1e cru vineyards. Here, the domaine aims for balance and purity of fruit (they destem all grapes for example) and they succeeded big time. Definitely a re-buy! — 9 years ago
Jayer style - clean n pure - vintage 2010 — 9 years ago
Heavy-handed, extracted, of course. Only the last 1/3 of bottle after 90 minute decant did the wine offer a glimpse of why Jayer made this terroir famous. — 9 years ago
Thanks Henri It's Amazing!! — 10 years ago
