Smooth with a back taste of black berry.... I don't often drink port.... No sophistication here.... But I like this. Burrata Beastrow inPoulssbo — 9 years ago

New vintage 2012, check it out! — 10 years ago
Amazing nose. That Drakes coffee cake cinnamon ribbon type ish. So beautiful. Edgy and beautiful spicy cinnamon palate. So elegant. Not rich at all. Very much on the lacy and lithe end of spectrum. Very very cool. Cinnamon stick and acid finish. Wow. Very light flavors. Very beautiful wine. Gentle. Gentle. GREAT — 10 years ago

Woah...acid and fruit. Still intensely alive. Amazing wine — 12 years ago
Smooth, dark and with a little tannin, very nice — 12 years ago
Big wine. Flavours are dark and complex. Earth, then a hint of spice followed by dried fig style fruit flavours. All in all its earthy and smooth. The tannins are prominent. — 9 years ago
Very nice. Rich, subtle tannin — 9 years ago
Tonight I was lucky to be able to try a wine that I will never forget. 1945, (my fathers birth year) was a year of turmoil for the region of champagne, occupation of the region would have been lifted at some point during the growing season due to the end of WWII. Most of the vines of cultivated by the wives and children who's husbands and fathers were at war. This bottle consigned by Britain and its Dominions by H.M King George VI, is a living piece of history. The wine was absolutely magnificent, still bright in acidity with meyer lemon, golden apples and quince on the palate. The finish went on for minutes. Humbled to be able to enjoy a small bit of this bottle. — 10 years ago

An intense and seducing wine made by Jorge Serodio Borges, Sandra Tavares and Dirk Niepoort - elegant and sophisticated and nice complexity, great aging potential 😃 — 11 years ago
Manoella Douro - Complex, dense and power combined - a wine very fine an elegant, a good introduction to the Wine & Soul wines, a real great value for money - the youngest descendant of the line of wines designed by Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio, the creators of the famous Pintas. This property belongs to Serôdio Borges family for over 200 years and the couple had the privilege to receive this inheritance in 2008 and to give effect to the long family tradition — 11 years ago

A solid wine originating from a field blend, more than 25 grape varieties, a vineyard of more than 100 years old inherited by Jorge Borges Serodio - still so young but already as in previous vintages displaying a tremendous potential - combining elegance and character from the old vines, great length 😏 some fine art once more - thanks Sandra Tavares — 11 years ago
One of the best memories of my #PortugalDiary - Tasting with Sandra Tavares and Jorge Serôdio Borges Wine & Soul 5G Very Old Port (a Tawny Port) laid down by Jorge’ great-great-grandfather. It was he who started the family’s tradition of serving 100 year old Port on special occasions - 5G / 5Generations - sharing with the #winelover s culture, tradition, knowledge and passion for the Douro and Port Wine. This elixir was aging slowly for over 120 years at Quinta da Manoella - I love #Douro 😜👍😃 a mythic wine — 11 years ago
