Compared to the the previous Valtellina wine, Marsetti Grumello, this is brighter, earthier, wilder, and more acidic. Both are great, for a similar price. The Arpepe is more versatile with food but the Marsetti is more structured for longevity. — 11 years ago

I guess for delectable to get vintage I should photo the back label. This is ripe but delicious with big time forest skunk and tire along with sweet reserva fruit. Still has great poise. Lovely — 12 years ago

Pretty, powerful, elegant, sexy. Recommended to me by a friend who apparently knows my taste well. Red roses, violets, cherry candy nose. Tangy red fruit punch made of raspberry, pomegranate, tart cherry, blood orange takes an interesting turn to dark leafy greens and bitter roots before coming to a snappy mineral finish. — 11 years ago

Wow tasty Barolo, just as I recall it from Castel Grumello. This bottle direct from the winery from my visit directly after that tasting. Leather, blank cherries, pomegranate, candied orange rind....everything you want in your Barolo. Heat is manageable. — 12 years ago
