Significant bricking. Aroma of rose petals. Red fruit and some tar. Acidity and tannins out of whack with fruit. Dry finish. OK, but not a monumental wine. Worked with grilled rib steak with a coffee/ancho chile run. @Susan Grover agrees. — 10 years ago
Wow... Exceptionally superb... Smooth... Delightful. — 11 years ago
@Susan Grover described this wine as structured elegance. Traditional CDP as it should be. Maybe a touch ♨ but it's a quible.

I'm stunned. This is like smelling a freshly opened or perfectly kept fine cigar. I've never smelled such strong tobacco in a wine before. Taste is same. Like sucking on a Cohiba. Perhaps too much, but extra points for surprise factor. It could also be alcohol and tobacco deprivation after VT, but this really was good. Gets a bit less one dimensional after ~25 minutes and I get leather too. Like good aged hooded dragon leather. — 10 years ago
