This was delicious and unlike anything I’ve had. The color was so dark and golden that I was worried it was no good, but the nose was all fruit. Not a citrusy wine, other than maybe some orange marmalade, it’s all ripe, waxy orchard fruit & melon with a saline, savory finish. Full bodied and oily in texture. I expected some oxidation, especially considering the color, but this was fresh and fruity all the way. This was a beautiful, honest tasting wine. — 6 years ago

Wow. Awesome Wine. I might have guessed Mosel. Green apple nose. Mineral. Awesome texture. Good fruit. Some pith. Awesome lemony finish. Pretty tasty stuff.. this is my 3rd Jurancon dessert wine in 3 days and they're growing on me. Very peachy with some funk on the nose. Palate is cool because it's not too sweet, but has a nice balancing acidity at the end. Peach, pineapple rind, and a bit of nuttiness. That's fun. — 9 years ago

First thing I notice is the golden color. Very floral, white flowers, can smell the green stem of a flower. Smells very hot, with mineral/shell/slate. Also smells sweet, honey suckle, and butterscotch. Must be oaked at least slightly. Tastes hot, high acidity, citrus notes/grapefruit. Very juicy as well, in guava, pineapple, tropical fruits for sure, and green grapes. Also low mouth feel, aka thin, but it is refreshing. I've never tried either of these grapes and really enjoy it. I agree with @Andrew Cooper it has intense almost chewable flavor and very refreshing and balanced acidity. There's a sensation of #minerality that when #blindtasting could almost lead you to think it's a Riesling from Alsace. 14 alcohol. #jurançon — 9 years ago

Some smoky flint and poultry jumping out of the glass, the initial off-gas as this bloomed beautifully. The bottle only lasted about 45 minutes out on our table and in that time it settled nicely into a canvas of concentrated minerals white flowers perfect ripeness the right acidity. Lean and muscular, no fat, no human hands present here. Highly recommended. Iroulewhat?! Who would've known? Thanks kermit. Fried food for the win. — 11 years ago
