Tarragon, cherry smell, magenta, acid, sorrel, grass, cranberry, cherry — 5 years ago
This was a great surprise at first tight and closed in but with an hour of air opened into classic Pauilliac beauty. Cigar box nose deep juicy currant flavors and endless finish. Fourty years old and an average vintage - WOW — 6 years ago
Bought this in 2014 from Lsat Bottle. Should have bought more, it was a steal at the time and it has gotten even better in the last 5 years. Not too acidic, good amount of yeast, and overall excellent sparkling wine. 69% Pinot Noir, 31% Chardonnay — 7 years ago
Still showing plenty of youth // blackberry, dried red and black cherry, some light tobacco and wood, some green notes // rich, densely concentrated, direct, and big - while still retaining a mouth-filling juiciness — 8 years ago
Delicate nose with dry red fruit, hint of cedar and mineral. Red currant, dark raspberry or boysenberry, cranberry, light granite mineral, smooth tannin remains but in balance with all other elements. — 8 years ago
Perfectly aged in large format bottle. Tannins have held up over time but don't overwhelm. Aromas: dried roses, burnt blackberry. Flavors: currant, dried cranberry, juniper. Beautiful wine. Once in a lifetime opportunity to taste it! — 9 years ago
Of the 2 Bordeaux drinking the best tonight, but long term the Brane-Cantenac 2005 will outlive this wine by 10 years easy. While very complex, a fine touch a green is traceable.
A classic currant and forest floor nose, fall leaves abound with a spike of spice and a barely there green that while subtle is apparent.
The pleasure here is higher for its more mature tasted and feel, while the brawny 2005 is a better wine it was not as enjoyable to me and feel it will be another notch enter in 3 years, and likely 2 notches better in 5.
The elegance and feel on this wine is ready to go and will easily go another 5+ years. — 10 years ago
Nose was ripe dark fruit, currant, spices, smoked oak or cedar. Velvet texture with nice dark fruit, licorice, pepper and smoke. Well rounded tannin at the end. Long finish. — 11 years ago
Bought from winery 4/25 $51. Another great Pinot from PG. A little tart at first but mellowed once aired. Very smooth. — 10 months ago
Excellent porch wine to watch the sunset!! — 2 years ago
1984 vintage. Cork difficult to extract, ended up in several pieces. Beautiful deep color, little to no bricking even at this age. Seductive at one hour+ of air with black cherry, raspberry, some vanilla, green pepper, graphite. 12% ABV. From the FIL’s collection. — 6 years ago
Nice little pinot but man these 2014 Martinelli Pinots could all use about 4-5 years of bottle aging! 1 of 4 brought with us on a little weekend getaway, and was a great accoutrement. Nice acidity, great raspberry grit and had an herbal nose and finish. Really pleased, and even more pleased that the rest are in the lockup where they belong for a few years. — 9 years ago
Super smooth and mellow, great mouthfeel and a nice finish. Juicy. — 10 years ago
About as close to Condrieu as I've seen Cali get. Lots of gardenias and tropicals mixed with a classic peachiness and solid structure. — 10 years ago

Fantastic value for money.
Dry and fruity. Black currant.
Nose is robust earth and fruity at the same time — 12 years ago
So delish! Beautiful and holding strong with notes of blackberry, black currant, clove, star anise, licorice, dried orange peel, black olive, potpourri, tobacco, leather, earth, cured meat, pencil shavings, graphite, spice box, forest floor. Complex and balanced with a long, elegant finish. — a year ago

Dark cherry red with flavors of raspberry and cherry, followed by hints of pepper and bay leaf. If you have been seeking total calm and satisfaction.... stop looking for it doesn’t exist... however this wine will definitely make you believe you have found it.... great pairing with roasted chicken, asparagus and fresh spring salad. — 5 years ago
Rich and interesting with a little bit of a funk, but still feels elevated. Young wines are good but it does mellow nicely with some aging in bottle. — 7 years ago
An early evening HH at home with a fabulous Bordeaux wine. Color is a dark brown especially on the edges Red fruit and dark plum with a subtle barnyard lingering on the nose. Tastes of black fruit, currant and leather with earthy and smoky flavors and a sweet finish; tannins are mild and drinks smoothly. — 7 years ago
Wow. A new world Pinot that isn't over fruited to death? GREAT Willamette valley wine, went with duck perfectly. — 8 years ago
A surprisingly great red - as others have said. A very drinkable wine, but of smokiness to it, bold and quite red fruity. — 9 years ago
Super bright, clear wine, lighter bodied. Wonderful melon, lemongrass, passion fruit and white pepper nose. Green melon, passion fruit, peach, ginger and some herb notes I'm struggling to identify beyond the lemon grass, maybe tomato leaf? Passion fruit comes through nicely on the finish. Really pleased with this one! — 9 years ago
Crushable. Great summertime wine. — 10 years ago
Light with a lot of Green bellpepper... But still good Tannin — 11 years ago
Oh man. Oh man. Wow. This Chevy has progressed beautifully. Wet dirt, mushroom, red currant, cedar. — 12 years ago

Surprisingly dark at the edges with a lovely bouquet. Spice and dark fruits; primarily blackberry. Medium finish. It seems to have some life left — 9 months ago
