Lots of wood, vanilla, dark fruit — 10 years ago
19/12/14 at 3 St James' St., from magnum. Developed and individual. Bees wax, hydromel, quince combine with some nuttiness. Open and deep flavours. Dry, mineral. Good tension. medium bodied. Spicy and citric finish. Very good and interesting wine. Macabeu (nose) and Chenin Blanc (palate) dominate, the later reminding me the character and complexity I experienced with one bottle of Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu 1995 from Dom. Gaston Huet. — 11 years ago
After seeing James Maynard Keenan's documentary "Blood Into Wine" it was time to try a couple of their vintages. Luckily the Campbell Liquor Store in St. Albert had a few bottles :) — 12 years ago
Unbelievable. So smooth. — 8 years ago
Maybe best ever dry red! Smooth. Need to get back to St James Winery for another case of this! — 10 years ago
Unbelievably soft on the pallet. Fruity, calm effervescence, could drink all day — 10 years ago
Very tart, just a tiny touch sweet but mostly tart. Very much like cranberry juice with a bit of a kick! — 12 years ago

Wine produced by carbonic maceration. Red cherry, strawberry, pomegranate and a hint of juicy fruit. M+ acid. M- body and tannin. Balanced. This is a fun wine that would go well with Thanksgiving dinner. — 9 years ago
One of my favs! Everyone seems to like this one! — 10 years ago
The James Bond red. This 2011 is one of the darkest wines I have ever seen. Massive and concentrated in a vintage reputed to be light, this blend of about half and half Merlot and Cabernet Franc is bound to be lauded by the critics. I can't fault it- the freshness is there too. — 10 years ago
yummmmmmmmmmm We are really in burgundy, even if there is a bit of Texas in there. @james remember? — 12 years ago

Found it in the cellar, was good probably aged a little too long. Still a solid wine. Love reislings semi sweet for wife and mildly complex for me. Rated 9.0 since it's a wine both of us will drink. — 8 years ago
