Cava tastes a lot more like champagne than Prosecco, so if you don’t want to pay a fortune for your NYE wine, this might be your preference. Where Champagne is bread-dough yeasty, this is as well, but it is BOLD in its yeastiness. There are in yo face aromatics because this is edgy and harder than the other options here, which makes the smells bounce out of the glass. Want a big start to your new year? Amazing!! I have never tried a Gewürztraminer quite like this before. A wonderful introduction to an Ice wine from Spain! The beads were delicate, w a silk like smooth and fine effervescences complimenting the wine. Its expression of delicate white petals, rose, subtle ripe apricot and white peach. Tasted at 3 St James's with Gramona rep. Cava at its best for this 100% Chardonnay cuvee. 6g/L. Fine mousse. Austere at first sight but great freshness comes through with aeration.
