This is 2013 Boschetti Vineyard - old vine zinfandel by Castello di Amorosa. The color is spot on for a zin. The bouquet is blackberry pie. And Cardamon. The initial palate is pure blackberry and raspberry. Then comes the zing of a great Zinfandel. Spice Spice Spice! These people have it down. It is a light wine with an almost pinot noir ending however. It is not very dry but not sweet either. The ending is fast. — 8 years ago
