Stunning how this came around with air and baby backs cole slaw and spud salad for the love of labor — 8 years ago
Declassified Brunello grapes from a difficult vintage. Dusty red fruits, barnyard scents, clay, cloves. Juicy, creamy fruits, wrapped in subtle oak, hints on black pepper. Good length. Solid QPR for the '14. — 9 years ago
STRIKE THREE YOU'RE OUTTA THERE!!! Go on, go on... Swung and missed hard on this nebbiolo that I thought was a sangiovese. Giovanna would be so disappointed. #3 on the blind tasting. Enjoyed this one, but I bet it was aged en barrique and now I can never show my face in Barbaresco again. *spits* — 9 years ago
A 2012 out of a magnum and decanted. Nice dark red colour and an enticing brambly plum bouquet that was echoed on the palate. Very pleasant with balanced acidity that worked well with the homemade gourmet pizza it accompanied. I would be very happy to serve at an informal large gathering as it is very quaffable. — 10 years ago

With the Chiaretto, the Giovanna Tantini's Bardolino is a must for this tipology. Fruity and friendly, strawberries and cherries, long and drinkable — 11 years ago

Good rose. From the Wine Steward. — 9 years ago
This wine was decanted 2 hours prior to consumption. At first taste it was very tight and closed. Better 2 hours in. Nose of tar, smoke, mahogany, and tobacco; inter-mixed with a bit of earth and red fruit. On the palate not very generous but complex. The second glass was better than the first. The next day after leaving the decanter open to the room temp air this became more integrated and the fruit level improved. Classic too young Brunello. Currently 88 pets, better in the future. Currently the Ciacci Piccolomini is better, but it is hard to tell which wine will be better in 5-10 years. — 9 years ago
