Had this wonderful bottle with dinner tonight, possibly the best Primitivo I have had. — 8 years ago
Delightful, easy drinking primitivo. Really exciting on the nose: blackberry, tobacco and dark chocolate. Cinnamon white pepper, and Hungarian paprika are added on the palate (midpalate to finish), and the dark chocolate notes appear more as dark roast coffee on the palate. Score is lower than I would give it otherwise because it is a bit flabby for my taste. This makes it a good easy drinker though because it is very smooth. Acid is on the low side for the varietal and you really only get the tannins on the finish. Definitely one to buy again though. Good value at $20 and quite approachable for dinner party guests. — 9 years ago
Strong kick but great flavor. Heavy liquorish and dark fruit with a lot of tannin. A break from the norm can be rewarding. — 10 years ago
the real primitivo wine strong but pleasant and rich of mature blu berry flavor — 10 years ago
Typical apulian primitivo wine but it's been aged in bottle after time spent in barrels. Strong but with a round taste. At the beginning it was 15° but now at least 16-17°. The wine cellar exists no more and only a few bottles remain. — 10 years ago
I started to open my Puglia stash I brought home from holidays. This is the first vintage of a winery which started in 2019 in Gioia delle Colle. Insane how good this Primitivo tasted. Only 600 bottles were produced. Very fruity and round but due to the higher elavation quite some acidity that adds freshness. A winery to keep an eye on in the coming years — 5 years ago

Absolutely delicious interpretation of the Susumaniello grape. Has a beautiful aroma of strawberries and blueberries on the pallet it has a nice viscosity and a lean balanced body. Overall nice acidity and long lasting finesse 🍷✨ Salute! — 8 years ago

Our favorite primitivo so far! — 10 years ago
Deep ruby; pronounced intensity aromas of vinyl, tar, earth, and leather upon pouring; more fruit as it opens up, blackberry, black plum, cocoa; dry, medium acid, high tannins, medium alcohol, full, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, this is a BIG wine, very complex and concentrated — 5 years ago
Needs to decant & open for 30+ but is lovely.

One of the best reds of the trip. Very tasty, velvety with tannins. Fruit forward (I don’t know what I’m talking about). Damn good, local and cheap — 5 years ago
