The Giant 47 Pound Rooster Pinot Noir

Red berry with lots of tannin. This inexpensive label produces dependably good quality wine. — 9 years ago

Mendoza Malbec 2013

9.5

Super nice Merlot, big nose, nice balance and body followers by a wonderful finish. Tasted against the Manage a Trois and Mutt Lynch Merlots (all of which showed well). This was Lori's top pick and a close second for me. We got it at $10 a bottle and it is bargain at this price. — 10 years ago

2003 Vintage is the best by far. Cannot find it anymore but drinks like a $50 bottle. — 9 years ago

Miles Davis' Bitches Brew Imperial Stout

Marc Stubblefield
9.3

Original bottling, and worth the time on the cellar. More understated and seamless than it was in its youth, now quietly complex and richly complicated. — 10 years ago

Dogfish Head Brewery

120 Minute Imperial IPA

The hop-head holy grail itself. A must take pilgrimage for any IPA drinker. IBUs off the charts, basically high octane hop syrup. Definitely ages incredibly well. — 10 years ago

Dogfish Head Brewery

Festina Pêche Berliner Weisse

Tart, crisp, refreshing. Wish it was available year-round. — 11 years ago

Toasted Head

Barrel Aged North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

The 2006 is good, the 2007, if you can find is a great value, awesome for a $10-13 wine. Balanced fruit with the oak taste of the 'toasted' barrel head & smooth from uncorking, improving as it breathes. — 12 years ago
