Super Tuscan is right! A great versatile blend that would be right at home with any Italian dish — 7 years ago
Aug 5, 2017, celebrating John's Copper Triangle ride with Squadra di Gianni members, Don and Sharon. Lovely. Not too dry or too fruity. Soft finish. 👍 — 8 years ago
Young but well balanced. — 8 years ago
Nice blend!!! Pepper aroma very smooth and soft tannins! Spicy wine.... — 8 years ago
Young and a bit closed, but dignified and serious nonetheless. 3/4 of a bottle per plant, this is a world class producer very committed to the health and upkeep of his small plots. A one man show from soil to bottle. Bold and big, with unripe and slightly sour black cherry mingling with gamey animal notes, and a kick of white pepper at the end. Very well balanced and integrated. — 9 years ago
So fun to drink this after the 2001 Marroneto. Strikingly similar actually, which is the way it should be and tells me that these are honest producers. Textbook Brunelli, both. This just has more power than the Marroneto. — 9 years ago
Un bicchiere importante. Oggi a tavola con la mia compagna e la prima fiorentina cucinata sul nostro bbq. Bottiglia del 2001. Annata ottima. — 10 years ago

Normally not a fan of Amarone but this is 'da shit. Grapes from this wineyard in Cariano -- named after horse Titari -- are of high enough quality to make this blend (60% Corvina, 30% Rondinella, and rest Sangiovese) only some years. Production is only 3000 bottles and price is around 80 USD (750 SEK). Super rich and elegant; did not go well with a beef tenderloin meal as it was too powerful and interesting. — 9 years ago
Fresh & delicious paired with salad & shaved truffles — 10 years ago

Light woody slight acidity. Perfect for apéro !! — 7 years ago
CVed 1/26/18. Second of three. Strong funk on nose literal barnyard manure but gradually blew off into iron earthy fall leaves with mature cherry notes. Palate balanced and lithe, long finish. Good recovery! Origin unknown. Must be early Gordon's. Note: even overnight the empty glass with a bit of wine still shows that earthy funk but in a poorest way. Terroir indeed! Opened 2/22/18. Wow so not at all prominent funk on the nose! If anything a bit reticent. Cork in perfect shape. Wonder why. Great balance on package and long finish. Perfect pairing with pasta red sauce eggplant. Yum. Upping score by one. — 7 years ago
Love this as a summer red. Sparkling, sweet, refreshing! — 8 years ago
Fresh and lively. Smoked meat, cherries, and mint. Paired perfectly with pizza. — 8 years ago
— 8 years ago

This is a solid every day red, good with chicken, sausage, pasta, cheese, marinara sauce dishes, and the likes. Nose of raspberry (a lot of it), pepper, allspice, and a sweet floral note I can’t quite put my nostrils on. There’s a slick acidity that keeps your mouth salivating and minimal tannin and very lovely fruit juice. It’s medium to light body makes this quite gulp-able. Solid price point too. — 6 years ago
