Dark chocolate, super malty, mocha nose. Velvety smooth amazing chocolate taste. Combine that with hops and high alcohol it finishes with a cognac like bang. Simply Awesome. — 10 years ago
Muito bom. Oásis, Georgetown. — 10 years ago
This impressive wine embodies an Old World pedigree with New World sensibilities. I want to be polite; I am frequently underwhelmed by California Syrah. However, reds from the Northern Rhone are among my favorite reds in the world. This wine manages to bridge the great divide for me. It has all of the lovely savory notes one expects from the Rhone accompanied by delicious blue and brambly fruits you find in New World. Sadly I only purchased two bottles. Hopefully I can find more. — 10 years ago

This is legit Pinot, great red raspberry fruit, but with tannic and acidic structure. NZ is doing some great things, it's no secret, but I'm always amazed when I have such a ringer from the new world. — 11 years ago
1993 Poulsard. Amazing. Unlike last time, no brett on this one to divide opinions. — 12 years ago

One of our favorite Grenache slash Grenache Blends out of California. Especially because of how different it is to the usual wine made with this varietal. This blend is 88% Grenache and 12% Syrah. Deep ruby red core. Some Syrah characteristics on the nose, caramel, maple smoked bacon and bark as well as some perfume and floral notes from the Grenache. High tannins (8/10) and moderate body covered with a ton of dark fruits. Attack is so smooth leveled with a punch in the finish. Tannins carry through with long and lingering finish. Absolutely delicious and will definitely continue to purchase these wines from Grant! Drink till 2030. — 10 years ago

For a New Zealand merlot cab blend, it is a great wine. Nice bold fruit flavored, not too acidic or high in tannins. Easy drinking- pairs well nicely with a steak or dark chocolate!
