Frog's Tooth Malbec has always been really good. With their new wine maker on board the 2013 kicks it up a notch further. Really noteworthy. Owners told me it won "best Malbec in region" @ Calif State fair. Well deserved. — 8 years ago

One of our Napa trip bottles. This is a very elegant grape. Really fresh tasting fruit. Velvety mouthfeel...totally different vibe than the usual big bold cabs, etc. that we usually drink. Would be the perfect pair with some firm cheese. This is kind of a farm-to-table, boutique vineyard, but I have seen it a handful of restaurants down here. — 7 years ago

Gerry Rowland, the winemaker etc. told me many years ago that this is his Bordeaux style Napa offering. I have always enjoyed and sold this wine. This vintage has blueberry and blackberry on the nose and a nice medium dry finish. Drinks well as soon as you open the bottle. Nice food wine that goes well with grilled meats. — 9 years ago
