Was excited to drink this again after having it at Passport Wine Weekend, it is delicious and now it will sit and get better — 7 years ago
Beautiful nose - petrol, pear, baking spice. Off dry. Strong acidity and well balanced. Young but with complexity and depth, especially on the nose. — 8 years ago
This is an inarguably great wine. And all the more impressive to me that it is stylistically not my typical leanings. Serious power, depth, balance - still so young - and I'll be damned if this wine isn't mindblowing in 10 years. Bravo @Fritz Hatton — 9 years ago
Ballsy Cab. Big fruit and nice balanced French oak. Too much tannin alone but would make a great food wine. Would definitely recommend this for future consumption. — 10 years ago
Fun wine! A little fizzy, fruit up front, dry finish, herbs & minerality come out when paired with spicy food — 11 years ago
Love this wine. — 12 years ago
Arietta Wines lunch with owner Fritz. We were able to taste through some current releases as well as some reserve wines Fritz brought with him personally. A treat to enjoy these Andy Erickson wines!
Classically styled and balanced. Very reminiscent of Spottswoode’s SB. Floral with tart fruit and medium acidity. Lots of lemon-lime here but also melon. Crushed rocks. Vibrant. — 5 years ago
Sour apple candy. Good sweetness and acid. — 7 years ago

Creamy and smooth but modestly sour with rich flavor. Very refreshing sour. — 10 years ago
10 years ago I was skeptical because this seemed to be a kabinett trying to be a spatlese. No reservations now! — 10 years ago
Light but has an identity. Lovely. — 11 years ago

Definitely the most fun wine on the table. Merlot and Syrah blend. I believe this is around the time John Kongsgaard was leaving and Andy Erickson was arriving. Quite wild, and both sweet and savory. Black cherry tart, peppercorn crusted rhubarb, red licorice, and a sweet smoke to the nose. Tangy red fruits, espresso and cocoa bits on the palate with a finish that shows tea leaf and fig. Delicious! — 5 years ago
Отличный рислинг с деликатным бензОльным вкусом и ароматом сушеной, даже выжженной, травы — 6 years ago

One of three offerings from Mad Fritz last night @ NVWTG. Not usually a stout fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this well balanced brew. Wish I had snapped pics of the others! Great beer with a great story. Serious craftsmanship at work. — 9 years ago
Super sweet and delicious! From red, white and bubbly — 10 years ago
Color straw hint of gold, nose fruit peach, flavors stone fruit peach, great acids, vanilla, oak pairs great with rotisserie chicken a bit over valued tastes more like a $14- 17 bottle — 10 years ago
Awesome example of a more terroir focused zinfandel. Fruity and juicy on the nose but restrained. Very fruit forward of the palate but not at all jammy. Nice earth and tannins to balance the fruit. Great long and gentile finish. — 11 years ago
Mineral-y. Fuzzy. Gooseberry. Not too fruity. — 12 years ago

Very slight fizz, pale straw colour. An attractive mix of pear, quince and something a little more exotic, like pineapple. Mid-acidity and sweetness with shortish length as all in balance. Light and enjoyable. Tasted again after a couple of nights in the fridge this had put on weight and become richer and more round and very harmonious - Delicious — 5 years ago
