Pear notes with a satin feel. Lite a easy to drink. Paired it with some briny oysters and it was a fine complement. — 8 years ago

Tasting this Syrah made in Peru, young vineyards, I'm sure in time will surprise us, we pair it with Spaghetti (Tallarin) Saltado (like Peruvian Lomo Saltado without french fries & rice), second course, mixed salad, remember always give a opportunity to Peruvian wines, sure you don't regret, the pairing... excellent! Saludos

In my imagination of shellfish that’s the best pairing but as a veg my imagination is I want this with an egg sauce like a Bernaise on eggs or a biscuit or asparagus. But this is very good alone as well. It is a wee bit yeasty. So it may also pair with a pretzel. It is so golden you think it may be vanilla/oak-y but not so much thank gawd. Instead it has the citrus and weeee bit of flowers and lees that lead a blind taster into hell. For not wine-idiots it is simply refreshing and leads one to fries, seafood and buttered bread. — 8 years ago

Works well with shrimp and spaetzle. Nice fruit and crisp acidity to pair with a buttery dish. — 8 years ago
lst meal worthy: endless mounds of golden, thin-cut fries w/ a chilled dry(!) Brachetto, floral & peppery, from the late Piedmont visionary Matteo Correggia, at LeSelNashville — 9 years ago
Lovely lighter red, great with cheese and truffle fries! — 10 years ago
A delicious blend, I believe Merlot is the second grape really helps to balance the wine. We enjoyed it with a hanger steak with chimichurri and garlic french fries at La Boca — 11 years ago
Smooth and easy to drink. — 11 years ago
Classic Bordeaux blend, paired with beef filet and homemade french fries for my birthday. Winner!

Burgers, fries, and Valette! — 12 years ago
Well balanced lovely. A modest winery with no ritzy fan fair. Just producers of fine wines. My 2nd foray into the Fairview brand. Greeted by a couple of very friendly poochies 🐶🐕 and you walk into a very small show area. Very welcoming and friendly. Makes me want to support our local industry for sure. The BEAR is a full bodied Bordeaux style blend of Cab suave, Merlot, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot. Referred to as the "Bear Meritage" A great I known and winery to many. Paired well with home style burgers with aged cheddar and seasoned fries.. man was it good. The wine just cut the food with finesse and a high level of satisfaction. My just loved and she is picky. A lovely lady with Italian heritage who first drank wine when she was 5...lol.. knows a thing or 2 about wine so when we uncorked this baby, nothing but smiles. Cheers Fairview!!!! — 7 years ago

Very good! Paired with turkey meatloaf (which I make RIDICULOUSLY good). Ground Turkey (not the fat free one, no flavor there), cous cous, diced pepper & carrots, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire and baked over a layer of Stubbs OG BBQ sauce. Salt & Pepper fries. Super cold Sunday apres kids sports comfort meal. — 8 years ago

Perfect wine for the burger and chicken salt fries at Frankie... body, hint of tobacco, spice—didn’t require me to think too much. Harmonizer. — 7 years ago
