Reminds me a bit of Beaujolais… it’s not quite carbonic but it has some bubbly fruit and a touch of pepper. Very friendly and interesting from a grape and region that people overlook too often. — 10 years ago

Black and a hint of blue fruit. Hints of dried herbs, olive, meat. Bright acidity and a fleshy fruit character on the palate. Tannins run right down the palate without being too overwhelming. Definitely old world in style but still showing lots of new world approachability. To me northern Rhône carries more earthy and non-fruit tones. I've always enjoyed these wines. Never overly alcoholic (this is 12.1%!!!) so you can have a second or third glass. Food friendly. Very drinkable. Not going to be a blockbuster but is always consistently reliable for a great glass of juice. — 10 years ago
