Bright ruby red with a super dark core. A little spicy on the nose with tons of floral notes. A bit chalky too with graphite and plush red fruits. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Dry with dark raspberries on the attack with some graphite and rocks in the medium plus finish. Drink till 2020.
Interesting blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Syrah and 5% Merlot. — 7 years ago
Best red I've ever had in my life. Totally unbelievably smooth. More delicious with every sip. Thank you to my cousins for sharing a glass. — 9 years ago

Big, velvety body. Smooth and elegant tannins. Oak and dark fruit. Third bottle of wine birthday 2018 with Jorge, Dana, and Seven at Berns Steakhouse in bronze room — 6 years ago
Opened up to be a completely different wine within 40-1hr. Very fruit forward- cherry, strawberrys. Loved the mixture of Syrah in the blend — 7 years ago
Pale yellow color. Clear. Strong pear flavor? High acidity yet mildly sweet. Really hits the back and side of the tongue. Smokey after taste with a long finish. — 11 years ago
Had at Bern's steakhouse. Nice bottle. — 11 years ago
Full of depth and complexity, notes of black raspberry, créme anglaise, graphite with great structure and a long finish. Only 780 cases produced. — 6 years ago
Steve Distler, owner of Arnyca, is doing consulting for a few small labels out in Napa. As I've posted before, his Arnyca cab franc is my favorite out of Napa Valley. He was the former GM at O'Brien Estate and was able to add them to his portfolio, along with Cobden Wini (winemaker for Arnyca and winemaker at O'Brien), Frias Family and Jack Winery. Killer line-up of small production stuff. We hosted him for a wine dinner and all of it was stellar.
Jack Winery utilizes the talents of Aonair winemaker Grant Long Jr. Jack was started by Vernon Wells (former MLB player) and Chris Ianetta (current MLB player). This '14 cab is from Diamond mountain and drinking well at a young age. Not as monstrous as young Howell Mountain cabs. Red and black fruit dominant with a decent amount of espresso and pepper. Needs to rest for a few years but has very good potential to be extremely good. — 7 years ago

— 6 years ago
