Had this with a nice creamy cheese and fruit/nut crackers (slightly sweet) and it was all delicious. — 7 years ago
Like any ‘9.0’ wine, patience and a lot of swirling is needed to appreciate it! — 7 years ago
Really solid and surprisingly special Pinot Gris here. Nice muted tropical aromas that don't attack with tutti fruitiness but offer a nice freshness.
Rounded mouthfeel with lip smacking acidity. Truly impressed by this effort. — 10 years ago
Had this with a German Riesling. Lighter in color a little more alcohol 12.5%. Nice easy drinking wine — 10 years ago
2010 Freedom Run #Meritage #Merlot #CabFranc #CabSauv #NiagaraEscarpment #NYWine. Lively, black cherry, cassis & wild berry intertwined with spicy vanilla, tobacco and a whiff of earth. Perhaps a little reminiscent of right bank #Bordeaux from a warm vintage. #wine #sommelier #sommlife — 10 years ago

When you hike in the Finger Lakes, you can easily think you're in Burgundy or Alsace. The topography is very close and the climate is just a little more continental. So the choice of grape varieties follows naturally. Pear, apple, and a little pineapple fruit come across in this wine. It has some stony and steely minerality, but less than typical for this region. There's a lot of vanilla and butter, with smoke and oak. These latter elements are too strong in my opinion. And the acidity is a little too weak. If that and the fruit were stronger this would be on par with Chablis. So it's a little off balance. But I enjoyed it very much with a salmon salad. — 9 years ago

Nice white blend, not too dry and not too sweet. Refreshing for a summer glass. — 10 years ago
Very dry, mild tannins, hints of caramel/umami in the body, crisp finish. No coarseness — 11 years ago

$15. Great everyday wine!! Available thru Ecluse. — 12 years ago
Third time trying this. Tightly coiled and reminiscent of young Meursault on popping the cork, with a certain reductive flintiness to its wonderfully pure Jonagold apple fruit. After being open for a couple days the wine is altogether more expressive, with creme brulee, almond, and bread dough aromas complementing its still vibrant core of orchard fruit and minerality. Strikingly rich and sumptuous for its relatively modest alcohol and lip-smacking acid structure. Given how positively it evolved and unfurled with a few days worth of oxygen, I'd lay this down for at least a couple years. Hats off. — 7 years ago
Very good. Great bouquet, flavor and finish. Worth the $16. Definitely a repeat purchase. — 7 years ago
This is the ultimate red wine!! 😍 You taste the fruit as soon as it hits your tongue. Has a smooth finish. This definitely is a mislabel because their is no end to the hope in this bottle. #Perfect10 — 8 years ago
Smells like a sauv blank but classic off-dry Riesling on palate. Hammer don't hurt 'em — 10 years ago
Meaty, well balanced wine. — 11 years ago

One of the best pet nats I’ve ever tasted. This is on another level. The cab franc gives way to lots of crunchy red fruits on that palate, supported by high acidity and lots of minerality. While a lot of pet nats can be much more rough around the edges, this is all about finesse. — 6 years ago
