Peach fuzz, pineapple, and sea spray. Zippy acid with excellent mid palate weight. Orchard fruits with a pleasantly soapy minerality to finish. Good stuff! Thanks @Ryan Maxwell — 3 years ago
No formal notes. Sweet mix of black/red fruit, ripe yet assertive tannins, nice mid-palate juice, leathery. Structured and quiet now, shows potential. — 4 years ago

Always loved Arneis. This one does not disappoint. Perfumery, floral, refreshing. Piedmont rules. — 11 years ago
Probably the best bottle of this I’ve had. Perfectly matured classical Rioja. Black cherries, some caramel, no tannins left and piercing acidity. — 3 years ago
Franco Serra Barolo DOCG 2016: Medium plus acidity. Medium tannins. Red fruits. Dried herbs. Earth. Leather. Tobacco. Long, silky smooth finish. This young Barolo was a pleasant surprise as my expectations were low (due to its age) however I was very wrong. It had great intense aromas & flavors, reflecting the characteristics of a finer quality wine. For me, it was a definite crowd pleaser with an amazing QPR! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
Earthy minerals and apricot. Lemon curd in the finish. A hint of marzipan. Lovely wine, one of the best Italian white I had actually. Love the artwork. — 6 years ago
Honeydew, pear, white nectarine, white flowers, grassy. Smooth, good acidity. Nice finish. — 7 years ago

Serious wine but a fair amount of fruit. Dried cherries, eucalyptus, and earth. Firm tannic structure. I like it! — 9 years ago

Delicious, lush, and savory. Good Barbera acids, prune, stewed cherry, cola/black tea, wet earth and some mushroom, Piedmont tar, some minerals. From Amaro Spirits and Wine. 01/29/22 — 3 years ago

Nebbiolo. Balanced. Berries and quite good with ricotta-filled pasta and black truffles. — 6 years ago
My WOTN! A "complete" Barolo, kinda out of a school book, that had it all: noble tannins, freshness and a first evolution into maturity. Huge layers of red berries, dried flowers, pipe tobacco, cedar and a bit of menthol. A touch fresher and more intense in the aromatics and tannins than the 1999 Rupestris. — 7 years ago
Low tannins, dark and red fruits, med acid some honey aromas. Ripe — 8 years ago
