This is a fantastic Japanese Whiskey. Nice mouth feel and a depth of flavor that keeps going. — 10 years ago
My first Japanese whiskey bottle courtesy of the Maki clan. Outrageously good stuff. Can't wait for my next Japanese bottle! Really elegant, balanced, complex stuff — 12 years ago
Rich amber color. Luscious red fruits, licorice, honey, and cardamom in the nose. Deeper flavors on the palate, with very rich mouthfeel and hints of light smoke. Luxurious finish. Nice to be tasting some Japanese whisky again after a dry spell in California! — 7 years ago

So much peat and smoke. Also more subtle grassy notes and earthy sweetness. Super light-bodied. A great Islay scotch. — 8 years ago

This wine was wonderful as an after dinner sipping dessert selection. I recommend a strong pour in a small glass, repeated frequently until bottle is empty. Great choice for family gatherings and can double as cough syrup. — 10 years ago
Nose like Balkan sobrani tobacco. Light color and smooth delivery. A great Islay scotch for new drinkers. Lightly peated. — 10 years ago
A drink with character. Good balance with depth and with slight smokiness. — 11 years ago

Had this bottle for a long time already. And thought it to be a basic peaty Islay. But it is a very fine rounded, bit sweet and not too agressive. Better get a new one. — 7 years ago
