Dark soils, black tea, rich black soils, loamy soils, dry stone, dark & milk chocolate, round thick acidity and thick lush, elegant, blue fruit finish. Photos of the tasting bar in their downtown Walla Walla tasting room, tasting room sitting sitting area and beautiful fruit ready for harvest. Producer history and notes...Ryan Crane founded Kerloo Cellars in 2007. Ryan’s path to winemaking began as a volunteer at Animale Cellars. After leaving Animale Cellars, he worked crush with Marie-Eve Gilla at Forgeron Cellars. Marie-Eve is Gilles (Director of Winemaking & Viticulture) Long Shadows wife and who's wines I'll post soon. He ultimately landed an Assistant Winemaker at Va Piano Vineyards for three years. The influence and support from the Washington wine industry like; Gilla, Justin Wylie of Va Piano, and Steve Brooks of Trust Cellars propelled Ryan forward to where he has found himself today owner and Winemaker at Kerloo Cellars. Oh...if you were wondering how they arrived at Kerloo for the name, it's the sound a crane (bird) makes and of course, Ryan's last name is Crane. — 8 years ago
Nice spice, plum, and leather but just faintly corked :( If it weren't corked, I's have rated this 9.3. It is probably one of the better WA state Zins i have had. Coulda been a contender... — 8 years ago

A year later, even better! Frankly — 8 years ago
"I'm okay, pepper is okay," should be printed on the front of the bottle. The Syrah kind of takes over, not that I'm complaining. A nice red to counter the rare ribeye you pair it with.

100% Sangiovese. On the nose, strawberries, cherries, grapefruit, watermelon, pear and rose petals. Palate matches the nose. The minerality is a perfect medium intensity and the acidity is perfect.
