Excelente vinho verde. — 8 years ago
Unusual white from Santenay and a 1er Cru at that. Warning - allow it to open up over 2+ hours or even longer if possible. I decanted it but was still quite tight over dinner. Foral, honey almond. 10 mo. In French oak then 5 in steel. — 8 years ago
No dill here. Juicy, bright, raspberry and cherry aromas with some white pepper and red foral character. Great balance and length, medium body, very enjoyable and successfully avoids being just another dill-bomb. More like a quality Bourgogne than anything else. — 10 years ago
very alive red fruits, still young, developing some gamy taste and kind of foral(jasmine, rose?!),very good balance. — 11 years ago
Favorite ultra-affordable wine at the LCBO! — 12 years ago
Cherry liqueur, dried blackberries, black currants, bay leaf, dried oregano, white pepper, creme yvette. Fresh acidity, medium bodied, satin texture, mild smooth velvet tannins, herbal-smoky-slightly foral/fruity finish. Great fruit/herbal balance, aromatics evolved in glass. Decanting recommended for this producer. I’m drinking this too young, still really enjoyable, has the structure to be phenomenal, cellaring will be rewarded. — 8 years ago
If you weren't a Rush fan or born much later, this one takes it's name from the Rush song "Limelight" and lyric,"Living in the Limelight." It's a blend of; 90% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet & 5% Merlot. Soft ripe fruits of; blueberries, dark cherries, blackberries, strawberries, plum, baking spices, loamy soils and fragrant purple foral bouquet. Body is M and the tannins are M-M+ but seriously velvety. Lean ripe fruits of; blueberries, dark cherries, blackberries, strawberries & plum. Baking spices, loamy soils and fragrant purple foral bouquet. Great acidity and elegantly, lean polished, floral finish. — 8 years ago

CVed 11/8/17 JL HAUBS-Barzen Erben comp. Foral and pleasant nose with hay and white fruits and medium body and finish. Opened 1/6/18. more complex. Up by one. — 8 years ago
On the nose; perfumed, floral, spiced fruits of; blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, strawberries, raspberries & hues of blue fruits. Dark, rich soils, anise and dark fresh foral bouquet. The body is M and the tannins M+. Spices flow before the wine reveals the ripe, fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, strawberries and hues of blueberries. Loads of dark spices, dark chocolate, mocha powder, crushed rocks, dry stones, loamy soils, leather, dry brush and bright violets. The acidity is nice and the balanced finish is long, elegant and turns slightly dry on the very backend. Photos of; their signage as you approach, David March (Winemaker), a feather with hand painted artwork of their bottle in great detail and the pond on the front grounds. Producer history and notes...Garrison Creek Cellars is a project of Walla Walla natives Michael Murr and his childhood friend Dave March. While Michael Murr lives on the east coast, Dave March is both Winemaker and Winery Manager in Walla Walla. Garrison Creek Cellars has 300 acres situated along the Washington/Oregon border on the fringes of Walla Walla, but on the Washington side. David March (Winemaker) studied nuclear medicine and was a department head at the local hospital before joining the Garrison Creek Cellars partnership. Garrison Creek Cellars is a boutique winery making only about 1000 cases each year. They make; Malbec, Cabernet, Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot and a little Zinfandel. Some of these are under 100 cases total production. Garrison Creek Cellars sits on the famous Les Collines vineyard. They sell about 97% of the fruit in their vineyard. They choose to keep their wines in small production and are also slow to arrive to market as they will not release anything before it's time...something I respect. When a winery releases their new reds, most are generally not ready to drink. They need to bottle age! Garrison Creek releases their wines when they are a little closer to being ready to drink when they arrive or are picked up. — 8 years ago
Acidité linéaire. Agrumes, mais vraiment pas acide. Foral un tantinet. Vraiment à refaire. — 10 years ago
Red fruit, foral, elegant and feminine. After it opened up it got a little boozy on the finish. Thought it was a french wine but made in Mendoza. Très bien — 10 years ago
Cragie on Main; Bursts of fruity & foral notes, definitely a better finish — 11 years ago
