A very tasty Steen. Dry, with loads of citrus and green apple, floral, herbal and mineral notes. For $10, I think one would find this to be an exceptional value. Drink it with Mussels steamed with a bit of the wine, garlic, a touch of olive oil and a bit of parsley and yowsa! — 8 years ago
Strawberries! Lots of acid. Fresh and pretty bubbles. Easy drinking on a stunning afternoon. #winelife — 8 years ago
Really fun expression of old vine Chenin, there's so much of it down there, great to see it made with respect. — 9 years ago
Drinking the 2010 in 2016, a year into its drinking window. Deep red colour and an enticing perfumed plum bouquet. Lovely mouthfilling plum, damson and cranberry flavours, the merest hint of sour cherry, most of the tannins having melted away by now. Well delineated and delightful. — 10 years ago
Aroma of rich berries. Smooth and slightly sweet with a sour note. Very good. — 12 years ago
It was delicious! — 7 years ago
Garnet red with some bricking around the edges. Some dirty notes of the nose with a little greenery and soft dark berries in the finish. Moderate tannins (7/10) with good acidity, a little higher than expected. Mainly red berries on the palate with some savory herbs in the finish. Medium plus bodied and medium plus finish. Tastes a little older than an 09. Drink till 2018. — 9 years ago
Best South African Chardonnay that I've had to date. Golden color with brilliant reflections of light gold. An initial attack of light oak on the palate but finishes with great freshness from the balanced acidity. A medium bodied wine with notes of lemon and pineapple and a slight hint of nutmeg on the finish. — 9 years ago
One of my favorites! I love South African wines — 10 years ago
Good wine and whales. 2 of my favs! And part of the proceeds go to the southern right whale sanctuary. <3 — 11 years ago
Complex red, bold, semi dry, lots of flavor, strong red! — 8 years ago
One of the top 3 African wines I've ever had. — 8 years ago
Big aroma of dark cherries and plums. Big middle tannins of plums, cocoa and a touch of oak. Then the dryness in the finish. Let it breathe for the mellowness. — 8 years ago
Smooth delicious red. One of my favorites! @mullineux&leeu — 9 years ago
Delicious full bodied wine. Lots of dark bramble fruit and earthiness giving nice depth. Black pepper notes on the smooth finish. — 10 years ago
Really smooth and barely tannic. Bell pepper, then raspberries, then a long black-currant finish. So nice with a hunk of parmigiano. — 12 years ago

Different than most SA wines I’ve had. Range of berries — red blue and black — and nice earthiness. — 7 years ago
