Its Italian night! This is Brunelli2010 Brunello di Montalcino imported by my favorite importers, Small Vineyards in Seattle WA. It is 14% and feels like 13%. Nevertheless, the bouquet is nothing like a California cab - yes I know its not comparable, but this is my base. It is almost like a plumb pie. Don't let this discourage you. On second smell, Its almost like a rubber fishing worm. Still, not what Im used to so maybe I don't know what the heck Im smelling! The color does have that slightly brown tint to the beautiful Oregon pinot color. The initial palate is crisp and fruity like cherries and cranberries. Nevertheless, the mid palate is just like a fresh sip of 100% cranberry juice. The finish comes with that lingering tartness of cranberry juice with a drying of the upper palate and a splash of spice. It is dry. It is good. It is one of my favorites! — 8 years ago
Very nice wine, great acid at the end. Not a strong smell, great taste. — 9 years ago
Good Pinot. Nice medium body, smooth, lots of cherry — 9 years ago
Dark cherry fruits and chocolate that fishing of with some fine spices. They linger on the palate long after the sip has been swallowed. Best US cab I have had in a while. — 10 years ago
Smooth. Black cherries. Dry. An urban style Cab Franc bought at the Denver airport. Hurray for local wines! — 10 years ago
Funky monkey when opened, but gave way to roasted dark fruits, maple and campfire after decanting. Much fresher than expected on palate-pleasantly surprised — 11 years ago
Well rounded and wonderful with or without food. — 12 years ago

Now this is some good monkey! LoL. A really nice sour beer to enjoy either with friends and a grill or by yourself watching Netflix in your underwear — 8 years ago
Toasting #40under40 with another Colorado 40er #we40under40 — 8 years ago
A great surprise. Enough sweetness that I wouldn't drink without food, but it has bright citrus and pineapple with honey on the finish. Paired wonderfully with Christmas gumbo (duck, turkey and andouille). — 9 years ago
Light Merlot but amazingly smooth. Very nice!!!!! Too bad the 2013 is gone — 9 years ago
Monkey 47 Dry Distiller Gin. Slightly hazy, water white, colourless. Pronounced intensity of perfume, juniper, lingonberry, violets, lavender, orange and grapefruit zest. With water added, more perfume and citrus notes to the fore. Dry on the palate. Warming alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavour intensity. Long finish. Very complex. Outstanding example of a premium gin. — 10 years ago
Love this blend from 2014 — 10 years ago

Dry. Not a lot of depth. But good drinking. Slight bitterness. — 8 years ago
Definitely would purchase it again. — 8 years ago
In my opinion, the lower ratings are probably caused by not holding the wine long enough. Nice wine at this point. — 8 years ago
Dark black red, full fruit, lush feel in mouth with a tapering smooth finish. Great after a full day fishing on EI. — 9 years ago
V15. Well made and well done. Crisp, the semillon adds juiciness to bone dry wine. Enjoyable! — 10 years ago
Another really well made and original Stone collaboration, this is a Belgian triple with a twist, carrot, raisins, vanilla Bean, cinnamon, but nothing over the top, just hints, delicious, but you really have like this style and appreciate the subtle hints that you get, some who reviewed this beer were disappointed that those notes described on the beer were not as much pronounced, but I think it is perfect, this is after all a Belgium triple with a slight twist, Very well done — 10 years ago
Holy holy monkey. Soft up front. Bigger spice finish than the 2013. Simply magnificent!!! — 10 years ago

Felt like i wasn’t drinking enough red wine, so went fishing in my wine fridge and found this gem. A bit of spritz at first but then turns into a dirty bouquet of olives, cherries, charcuterie and lavender. Love this wine! — 7 years ago
