This is Firestone's California Pale Ale, not the same as their English style pale ale, pretty good as pales go, but if you are like me, a hop head, you find this too light on the hops, overall good pale, no medals for this one though, but good stuff for the style they were going for — 10 years ago

One of the best Black IPA's out there, if you do not try this, you are missing out on something so special, this beer set the bar for the style, outstanding!! Big west coast hops with massive amount of citrus and tropical notes, pine, and roasted hops added, Fantastic!!! Now Langunitas has NightTime, and Green Flash has Road Warrior, also outstanding beers, but this really set the bar, with be nice to see what comes next in this style — 10 years ago
