Agrestic American Wild Red Ale

Pickled strawberry, ginger, squash blossom, soft apricot, orange biscuit aromas. Burnt orange peel, peach pit proximities, turmeric, jellied ginger, and grapefruit pith. Young sour with a prickly demeanor. Stellar! — 8 years ago

Krieky Bones

Dry, tart, and cupric. Subtle tart cherry skins emerging as it warms. Close analogue to Cuvee Des Jacobin Rouge. This barely registers as a kriek to me, but it is very good. Really nice delicate and persistent head on this beer. — 8 years ago

Proximity Twenty Six Santa Ynez Valley Petit Verdot Blend

A nice, recent find. I'm usually not too much of a fan of Bordeaux blends from SB County but the 2013 vintage of this is nice. I don't think it has the holding power (read acidity or tannins) to last much longer before reaching its peak but what's there now is still pretty bold & fruit-forward. Had it with some slow-cooked pot roast & it paired quite nicely. — 8 years ago

Santa Ynez Valley Malbec 2014

Firestone is the oldest vineyard in Santa Barbara and thanks to Rosie, we had a really fun tasting experience here. We picked up this bottle because of the lush dark fruit rolled-in-baking-spice flavor, and the aftertaste that was pure American Spirit tobacco. — 8 years ago

2017 Bravo - Imperial Brown Ale
Deep caramel brown with light brown head. Dark nose with caramelized brown sugar, molasses, and honey with a little heat. Can tell it's a a high alcohol level get drunk from just smelling it. A little creamy and syrupy too. Full bodied and long finish. Could easily go with some dessert.
