Yes the Muscat de Alexandria (aka Zibibbo) is definitely showy, compared to Muscat de Frontignan - check out Gramona Gessami as another great example. Not a contest Jason, just be happy with what you like. My wife hates ginger cooked in foods for same reason, she says tastes like soap and overpowers the dish.
