Seemed an appropriate Christmas wine. Can’t rave enough about Kf wines. QPR is a little whack but it delivers. Way too young to open but ran it through the Venturi a few times and it showed really pretty red fruit, elegant wine. Hold for several years before trying again. — 3 years ago
Lovely bright medium ruby color with slightly purple reflection
Lot of fresh red fruit, lively, red flower, oaky note, sweet spice but super elegant. There something sweet on the nose like ripe red berries
Big body, high tannin, med acidity, medium alc but super velvety and sexy

Reminds me of a barnyard - in a good way! Notes of wild flower and dried herbs — 6 years ago
2010 vintage. Medium golden hue. On the nose, deep concentration of aromas. Waxy, canned apricots, white pepper, white flower, cream and hazelnut. On the palate, medium minus acidity, medium plus alcohol, full body and concentration. Longish finish. Very good. Would probably wait another 2+ years to reach another level. Drink now until 2022+. NB: serve chilled, as becomes fat as gets to room temperature. — 7 years ago

The biggest and most full bodied wine of the evening was the Cos d'Estournel. From the hot 2003 vintage this also made it the youngest red of the evening. Big, irony, camp fire embers, black currants and cassis, toasty and well integrated oak buffer the wine. Time has peeled back some of that concentration revealing the heat that stuck out to me as the one big thing out of place. In the context of the vintage this might be OK but it turned me off. Good, but disappointing especially considering how critics went out of their way to speak of its lack of signs of heat. — 7 years ago
Lovely rose with a bit more complexity and less acidic bright fruit than the typical rose. Well-balanced dryness. — 4 years ago

1975 out of magnum and from a leaky cork . Procured it from a collection. Mature with notes of brioche , kumquat . Apricot ,Chamomile , white flower ,lychee, and oyster shell. On the palate it’s exotic and explosive with vibrant ,apricot , papaya , caramel, nuts ,tons of dry extract some Sauternes like notes . One of the best 1975s I have had from a leaky cork.
