Light, bright in glass. Delicate floral on the nose. Crisp and fresh on the palate with baked apple, and pear, rounded out with hints of vanilla. Really enjoyed it! — 11 years ago

Restaurant description: "Dark, smoked malt-dominated nose, silky smooth finish, smells like a camp fire, tastes like bacon." Hyperbolic & accurate, all at once! — 11 years ago
Enjoying it by the fire. Don't love the nose but love the wine. Definitely age worthy. — 11 years ago

Ahhhh, a Provence Rose! It's a very warm night...82F and I'm sitting by my fire...so the perspiration is accumulating and I'm drinking a refreshing Rose that is perfect for a night like this! This Chateau La Moutete Grande Reserve is peach colored, with notes of very light florals, watermelon, and a Sauv Blanc-ness to it that reminds me of grapefruit on the nose. on the palate I get strawberry, black licorice, and a hint of basil. This wine is slightly acidic, especially on the finish (again, reminding me of a soft Sauv Blanc). No tannins, and a grape-fruity finish at the end. Even though my beloved Red Sox are losing to the Skankees tonight, I'm enjoying this fantastic wine! — 10 years ago
Passion fruit nose. Crisp, absolutely delicious. — 11 years ago
Not at all what I was expecting. I'd say more "glowing embers" than "fire" but excellent for a night playing board games with friends. Would buy again. — 11 years ago
Excellent wine. Smooth and soft tannins. Gotta get this for dad — 12 years ago
